Skin Fields Photo Book by Àlex Domènech
Skin Fields is photographic project that transports us to spaces of intimacy and desire surrounded by hostile territory. It portrays a journey across geographical, political, and religious landscapes where the freedom of gay people is confined within an imposed shelter, a space that protects against the violent and cutting shrapnel of ideology. What is our place in the world when we are not accepted?
The photos in this book were taken in Iran, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Morocco, Spain and Syria between 2018 and 2024.
